Finding a good SEO Chrome extension can save time during website audits, competitor research, and content optimization. But installing five different extensions to check titles, headings, backlinks, traffic, and technical SEO can quickly become frustrating.
AITDK SEO Extension tries to solve this problem by bringing multiple SEO tools into one browser panel.
It offers on-page SEO analysis, keyword density checks, heading analysis, estimated website traffic, backlink information, WHOIS lookups, and tools for evaluating readiness for AI search.
But is AITDK genuinely useful for SEO professionals, or does its all-in-one approach come with limitations?
I tested it and reviewed its official documentation, Chrome Web Store listing, public user reviews, and discussions in SEO communities to evaluate what it offers, where it falls short, and who should consider using it.

My opinion: AITDK is worth trying for quick SEO checks and competitor research, especially since many core analysis tools are available for free. However, I would treat its traffic estimates and AI-search readiness score as supporting indicators, not definitive measurements.
Review note: This assessment is based on my testing, publicly available product information, and user feedback. I have not independently benchmarked its traffic estimates against Google Analytics or tested every feature on live websites.
What Is AITDK SEO Extension?
AITDK SEO Extension is a Chrome browser extension that provides website analysis tools without requiring you to leave the page you are viewing.
According to its Chrome Web Store listing, it had a 4.7/5 rating from 135 ratings and approximately 90,000 users when I checked it on October 14, 2026. These figures can change.
Its main attraction is convenience. Instead of opening separate tools for individual checks, you can access many SEO features from one browser panel.
The official feature page currently lists 15 SEO and generative engine optimization (GEO) tools. Some provide information directly from the page, while others display estimates or data retrieved through the service.
AITDK SEO Extension Features
Here are the standout features.
1. On-Page SEO Analysis
The extension checks common on-page elements, including:
- Page title and meta description length
- Canonical URL
- Heading structure
- Image alt text
- Robots.txt and sitemap signals
- Server-side rendering checks
These checks can help identify issues during a quick review of an individual page.
For example, when reviewing an article, you may want to confirm whether its title and description are present, whether its headings follow a sensible hierarchy, and whether images have descriptive alt text.
Having these details together can make preliminary checks faster.
However, an automated check does not always understand the context of an issue. A title that exceeds a suggested length is not automatically bad, and an image does not necessarily need descriptive alt text if it is purely decorative.
My take: This is one of the most useful categories of features because it helps with routine on-page checks. The results still need human judgment.
2. Keyword Density Checker
AITDK includes a keyword density tool that shows frequently occurring words and phrases on a page. Its documentation says it can identify phrases containing one to five words and show their counts and density.
This can help you understand which terms appear repeatedly in an article or examine how a competitor has covered a topic.
For example, while reviewing a page about technical SEO, you could examine whether terms related to crawling, indexing, rendering, and JavaScript appear in the content.
But there is an important limitation.
Keyword density is not a target you need to achieve to rank on Google. Repeating a keyword a certain number of times does not guarantee better rankings.
I would use this feature to inspect content, not to calculate how many times a keyword should appear. Search intent, topic coverage, clarity, and usefulness matter more than reaching a particular percentage.
3. Website Traffic Estimates
AITDK can display estimated website traffic, engagement metrics, traffic sources, geographic information, and trends.
It can also add information such as estimated monthly visits and average visit duration beneath Google search results, according to its official documentation.
This is useful for quick competitor research.
Suppose you are evaluating competing websites before creating content for a new topic. A traffic overview may help you identify larger competitors or decide which websites deserve further investigation.
However, estimated traffic is not the same as actual website analytics.
You do not have access to a competitor’s private Google Analytics data. Browser-based SEO tools must rely on their own data sources, models, or estimation methods to provide traffic figures.
I could not establish a clearly documented methodology for AITDK’s traffic estimates from the materials reviewed.
User feedback also raises questions about accuracy. A June 2026 review reproduced by ExtensionAuditor criticized the session figures as misleading, while a Reddit discussion about SEO extensions included a user asking where AITDK obtained its traffic and keyword numbers.
These are individual user comments, not a controlled accuracy test. They do, however, reinforce why I would not rely on one extension’s traffic estimate when making a major business or SEO decision.
Use the numbers as rough competitive signals and cross-check important findings with other tools.
4. Backlink Analysis
The extension’s backlink feature can show information such as referring domains, backlinks, follow status, anchor text, and linked URLs.
These details can help you investigate a competitor’s link profile or find websites worth examining for outreach opportunities.
For example, if a relevant industry publication links to a competing article, you may want to inspect the linking page and understand why it referenced that resource.
Still, a backlink snapshot is not a complete link-building strategy. You should assess the relevance and quality of linking websites rather than chasing backlink counts alone.
This feature also has an important pricing consideration: backlink lookups use credits under AITDK’s current plans.
5. Heading and HTML Structure Analysis
Heading analysis is a useful part of a quick content audit.
AITDK provides a heading outline covering H1 through H6, helping you inspect the structure of a page without manually searching through its HTML.
This is particularly useful when researching competing articles or checking whether a long page has a logical hierarchy.
For content publishers, it can help identify how competitors organize their information and whether the page structure supports easy navigation.
But do not confuse a heading checker with a content quality evaluator. A page can have perfectly organized headings and still fail to answer the reader’s question.
6. Image and Link Analysis
AITDK can inspect image alt text and show internal and external links, including information about link attributes.
These features are useful during on-page audits.
You can look for images with missing alt text, check whether important sections are connected through internal links, and review how a page references external resources.
Such checks are especially useful on large articles with many images and links.
However, a missing alt attribute is not always an error. Decorative images can appropriately use an empty alt attribute. Similarly, external links are not inherently bad, and adding nofollow to every external link is not an SEO best practice.
The tool identifies elements worth reviewing; it does not make every decision for you.
7. Structured Data, Social Previews, Hreflang, WHOIS and DNS
The extension also offers several technical and research features:
- Structured data inspection for schema.org markup
- Open Graph and social-sharing previews
- Hreflang analysis with URL and HTTP status information
- WHOIS and DNS information
- Indexed-page counts and search-result previews across multiple search engines
These tools can be helpful when checking international websites, inspecting structured data, or investigating a domain’s basic history and configuration.
They are particularly convenient when you need an initial overview before performing a deeper audit.
However, indexed-page counts from different search engines should not be treated as exact measurements of a website’s indexation status. For Google’s indexation issues, Google Search Console remains the more appropriate source for your own verified property.
8. GEO Score for AI Search
One newer feature is AITDK’s generative engine optimization score.
According to its official feature description, the score ranges from 0 to 100 and assesses areas such as AI crawler access, machine readability, structured data, content citability, and trust-related signals.
This can provide a checklist for reviewing whether a page is technically accessible and structured for AI-powered search experiences.
However, the score is AITDK’s own assessment. It is not a Google ranking score, and there is no guarantee that a higher score will lead to more citations in ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews.
I would use it to generate questions for an audit, not as a definitive measure of AI visibility.
What Do Other Users Think About AITDK?
I looked at feedback from the Chrome Web Store, Reddit, and an independent extension-review site.
The overall picture is positive, but not without concerns.
What users like
Several user reviews displayed on AITDK’s official page praise its range of features and convenience.
For example, reviews from users in 2024 and 2025 highlighted its ability to combine several common SEO functions, examine HTML structure, inspect keywords, and access data from one interface.
A May 2024 Reddit discussion about SEO Chrome extensions also included a user who recommended AITDK after using it alongside other SEO extensions. The comment specifically mentioned image alt text, WHOIS information, and keyword density.
A later review displayed by AITDK in May 2026 praised its SEO audits, SERP information, keyword features, and traffic overview.
The recurring benefit is straightforward: having several useful checks in one place can reduce the need to switch between different extensions.
What users criticize
The negative feedback is worth examining, particularly because some of it concerns data reliability and usability.
The review samples reproduced by ExtensionAuditor included the following complaints in 2026:
- A user questioned the reliability of the displayed session or traffic information.
- A reviewer complained that a newer version opened too slowly.
- Other users reported connection problems or issues with a keyboard shortcut interfering with shortcuts used in other software.
These reports are anecdotal, and some are in Chinese. They do not establish how common the problems are, whether they persist in the current version, or whether they affect most users.
I would treat them as reasons to test the extension in your own workflow rather than as proof that the product is unreliable.
What about privacy?
The Chrome Web Store listing discloses that the extension handles personally identifiable information and financial or payment information.
AITDK’s privacy policy, last updated on April 12, 2024, when checked, discusses information such as names, email addresses, payment information, and website usage data.
These disclosures alone do not establish misuse. However, the policy is worth reviewing before installing the extension, especially if you work with sensitive client information or access production websites.
As with any browser extension, check its current permissions and data practices before using it on sensitive systems.
Is AITDK SEO Extension Free?
AITDK is free to install, and its current pricing page says the core analysis tools are available without a paid subscription.
However, some data and research features have limits.
| Plan | Price shown on the pricing page | Main difference |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Core analysis tools, basic traffic data, 30 monthly credits |
| Starter | $100 per year, equivalent to $8.33/month | More credits and more detailed traffic information |
| Pro | $200 per year, equivalent to $16.67/month | More credits, extended traffic history, and more detailed traffic-source information |
Prices are those listed on the official pricing page when reviewed and may change.
The credits are primarily used for backlink and Reverse AdSense lookups. The paid plans offer higher credit limits and expanded traffic data, while the core on-page analysis features remain free.
For someone who mainly needs title checks, heading analysis, image audits, link analysis, structured data inspection, and metadata checks, the free plan may be sufficient.
If you regularly research competitors’ backlinks or need more extensive traffic information, review the current plan limits before paying.
AITDK SEO Extension: Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Many SEO features in one browser panel | Traffic estimates are not verified analytics |
| Useful on-page and HTML checks | Some research features use credits |
| Keyword density and heading analysis | A keyword density score does not indicate content quality |
| WHOIS, DNS, links, images, and structured data tools | Not a replacement for a full website crawler |
| GEO checklist for AI-search readiness | GEO score is a proprietary assessment |
| Many core tools are available free | Some users have reported usability and data concerns |
AITDK vs Other SEO Chrome Extensions
AITDK is not the only extension worth considering. The best alternative depends on the task.
| Tool | Best suited for |
|---|---|
| AITDK SEO Extension | A broad set of on-page checks, traffic estimates, WHOIS, backlinks, and GEO analysis |
| Detailed SEO Extension | Quick inspection of on-page SEO elements and page structure |
| SEOquake | SEO metrics and competitive research |
| Similarweb Extension | Website traffic estimates, traffic sources, and audience geography |
| Ahrefs or Semrush browser tools | Workflows connected to their broader SEO research platforms |
AITDK’s advantage is breadth: it combines several different checks in one interface.
That does not make it automatically better than specialized tools. If you primarily need a quick view of titles and headings, a simpler extension may be enough. If traffic analysis is your main concern, compare estimates from multiple services rather than choosing a tool based only on its free features.
Who Should Use AITDK SEO Extension?
AITDK is worth considering for SEO professionals who regularly inspect individual pages, content publishers researching competitors, freelancers conducting preliminary audits, and website owners who want quick SEO checks without paying for a large suite.
It may also be useful for beginners who want to learn about page structure, metadata, headings, links, and other SEO elements.
However, I would not use it as the only tool for a technical SEO audit. A browser extension that inspects the page you are viewing is not a substitute for crawling an entire website and examining all affected URLs.
Likewise, I would not use its estimated traffic figures as the basis for a business decision without independent verification.
For your own website, use Google Search Console for search performance and Google Analytics for measured visitor activity. Use AITDK as an additional diagnostic and competitor-research tool.
Final Verdict: Is AITDK Worth Trying?
AITDK SEO Extension brings together a broad collection of useful SEO checks in one browser interface. Its strongest appeal is convenience, particularly for people who routinely inspect page metadata, headings, images, links, structured data, and competitor websites.
The free core tools make it worth evaluating before paying for another SEO subscription.
But the number of features should not be confused with the accuracy of every metric. Traffic estimates need independent validation, keyword density should not dictate content decisions, and the GEO score should be treated as a checklist rather than a ranking predictor.
My recommendation is to try the free version for on-page analysis first. See whether it fits your workflow, compare its traffic estimates with other services on websites you know well, and upgrade only if you need the additional data.
AITDK looks promising as a convenient SEO toolbox. Its real value depends on how you use its data and whether the findings hold up when you verify them independently.
